Weird starting issues...
So I parked the car Thursday night and it sat all day during Christmas. I went out Saturday afternoon and attempted to start it.

The car kept cranking over and over and attempted to fire up. Finally after playing with the throttle it fired up. I tried to move it and it died. Then I got it started again and barely made it to the Advance Auto parts where I picked up new plugs, cap, and rotor. I install them and still the same issue. Even when the car is warm, it still takes a while of cranking to fire up. I haven't had any issues like this until now. Everything else seems fine.

Has anyone experienced something like this? I barely got it started today and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

- Oldly my car did this a few days ago. First thing that popped in my head was the starter or fuel pump being on there last leg.

I would have to disagree, read what he said, it cranks but doesn't catch. Check ect sensor, maf sensor, o2 sensors etc etc

- I'm in the process of installing my new O2 sensor along with making a good ground for it to the block. I have to check my rear calipers as well. My gas mileage is not great at the moment.

Thats the thing. The car cranks strong as could be. I have to lightly feather the throttle when I hear it almost firing. I feel like its not getting a good enough spark because it can get to the point where you smell nothing but fuel. The fuel pump sounds normal just like any other Walbro unit. I will have to try and maybe swap out the ignitor/coil from my buddies car that is sitting. Hopefully its something stupid. I know my fuel filter is almost 2 years old so I will swap it out for a new one while i'm at it.

Speaking of calipers, I can't even use my e-brake unless its above 35* otherwise she sticks like a bish!!

You can go to autozone and get a spark tester they are cheap.

You pull out your spark plug wire and put the tester in and crank the car if the light turns on you now you have spark...

If you have spark check your injectors i had similar problem in my brothers car when i did the swap it ended up being the water sensor on his.

Thats the thing. Once it fires up and warms up it seems normal. She hauls ass all the way to 9 grand without a hiccup. The other day my friend started it up for me and let it idle. The thing was running EXTREMELY rich when I walked outside. I turned it off and unplugged the battery for a few mins. Put it back on and started it up and same deal. Took it up the road then it cleared up and started running fine. I was thinking maybe an injector issue but not sure. Its weird.

mines does the same thing, a few cranks before starts, after its warm up everything its back to normal, I changed plugs, wires, cap, clean up the injectors ,then only think I have left to do its to check the fuel pump and right next to the battery there is a fuse box, one of those I think its the main relay, I saw another sentra with the same problem they check the conections(pins)and there was a problem there they fixed it and the issue dissapeared
but i havent had the time yet
