i have seen a couple of 96 stamped VE's. but then again, they were probably stamped in late 96 and rolled out in early 97. just like my b13 was made in 1990 and rolled out in early 1991.

correction, I did post 95' but I meant the earlier versions of the VE.

I'm telling you the only different this earlier VE I swapped had different than mine was a JWT POP

and I have the BLOX POP, his engine sounded wicked compared to mine.

sr20ve, sr16ve,sr16ve n1, sr20ve 20v and sr20vet

It's only three versions: SR20VE, SR20VE 20V, SR20VET but the earlier versions of the SR20VE, I think the ports were mathced and portedd better thats all, same specs other than that.
