Thread: sr16DE

my buddy was curious what the results of putting a DE head on a 16ve block would be? an how would you go about running it, would de ecu/injectors work or? or would it be a bad idea..

since i have no clue i figured i'd ask.. i did search an found nothing..

the reason for this is im going to upgrade to a sr16ve trans an he said he'd chip in a little extra to get the whole thing engine + tranny an then part the head out ect.. to make back what he spent.. he's going to get the whole sr16ve + tranny package also, thats why he's not needing to use anything from the 2nd engine.. although we wanna keep bottom end + accessory stuff for future use.. OR possibly put a DE head on an put it in some car to beat on or sell or something..

or would it be best to just throw in a de crank an rods an make it a 2.0? an hang on to it for back up

The only reson I can see to do that would be if class rules dictated a 1600cc capacity and you already had a worked de head. Others yeah i'd just put the pistons in a 2.0 motor and make a high comp sr20de

hmmm point takin.. or i could put the pistons an cams in my ve an sell the rest of the crap..
