I also have another beef the N1's felt very weak compared to my sr16 cams And i don't mean just down low either EVERYwhere especially up top!!!! Any reason for this? I am hoping that the sludge was the culprit and once its removed along with BC valve springs, headgasket replaced and some arps installed ( I had them from my turbo car so why not?) The car will run amazing?????? I hope?

btw the compression is equal across the board and the bottomend is VERY clean(NO sludge down there) and the oil pick up tube was checked removed and cleaned awhile ago.

I guess I just have bad luck with cars

I am not giving up and once its fixed tuned and running mid 13's like its suppose to the NITROUS will go on!

Did you double check to make sure you didn't suck your throttle body screw into the motor?

Dude, how many motors have you killed now? Specifically how many were following cam changes? Step away from the valvetrain.

Ok first off this time it wasnt my fault. The cams were in properly and timed right. the car drove fine but did feel considerably slower then the sr16s that i had in before, which i still cant figure out, but once we started tuning it it got faster and pulled better and better, but just as we were making progress and running perfectly stioch she dropped a exhaust valve . the timing was fine it was the added stress of the larger cam against my ridiculouly gunked up head and it gave.

now the good news is i am getting new supertech springs and titanium retainers, a new valve of course, new hg, but best of all the head is getting hot tanked and redecked so everything should be stronger and pretty much ready for whatever!

btw i got lucky and the piston wasnt even scratched!

give me a call if you want the whole story.

What year of fabrication is your engine? Supposedly 98s came with weaker springs compared to 97 (Mine's built 9/97), How high did you usually rev to? Did you hit the rev limiter too many times? I have a JWT W/O fuel cut but rev to 7500-7700 on stock everything. Sorry to hear but this is always a great excuse for upgrades
