Planning on building a race vvl car.
Hi guys from some time I have got the felling to prepare a n/a race car in a b13 chassis.
Goal at least 240-50whp must be 2.0cc and 9000 rpm limit(MAX) due to "safe" purposes "(perfect would be 8500rpm!)".The gear box is going to fall 800 rpm in each gear and 650 from 4 to 5 that means the powerband will be from 8000 to 9000 basicly. I have some ideas regarding this but I would like to ear what you got.
regards
thanks.

Even when under brakes your going to keep it above 8000? thats some fast downshifting... like pro level

Go buy an ex BTCC primera - then transplant all the gear into your specific chassis.

Such a cheaper prospect - and comes with all the goodies you are asking for.

I will start ...

Carrillo rods Pro-A
cp custom pistons 13.1cr or 13,5...
worked head
supertech valves +1 intake +2 exhaust
custom intake manifold
supertech valve guides
supertech 130lbs springs retainers
kelford cams 184c be tested against n1...
custom header or APS....
3 exhaust with reverce cone.
race gas mix
Basicly this.
Im pretty sure it can make 230whp (dynojet)with this.
Waiting for some opinions.
Thanks.

Late post, you answered what I was going to ask with the fuel. But I'm pretty sure ITB's will be a good idea....I know of B18's making 250whp with a simple engine build + ITB's.

With such a narrow operating band you could just use a DE and big cams, that way you have a lighter valvetrain, it will be easier to make power and more reliable.

I really don't know, there are much more knowledgeable people than me on here when it comes to DE/VE builds.
