Intake Valve to Intake Port Length
Hey, whats the length of the runner from the head (where intake manifold bolts up) to the intake valve? boy i hope I asking this clearly...

and also whats the length of the actual sr20ve stock manifold from bellmouth/plenum to bolt up point?

100-110mm. It sort of depends where you measure.
Thats a 6 inch rule touching the edge of the valve stem to manifold mount face. Do you need a more accurate number? I genereally use 110mm for calculations.

ok, can anyone give an estimate of the plenum volume of the stock vvl manifold?

or can anyone give like a simple test to find it out?

You could pull the top half of the manifold, remove TB and tape it up, block any other holes. Tip it upside down and fill it with water through the runners until the water level is not quite into the runners and however many litres of water you put in would be your volume.

That would be a quick easy way of doing it, not the most accurate but probably accurate enough. You obviously wouldn't want it too leak!

I think I *might* still have my plenum here. If I do I'll measure mine too and we can compare answers
Also it you have the centerline measurement of the lower runners I'd love that info as my lower runners were long ago chopped up in the pursuit of a intake manifold

Are you speccing a new manifold or are you crunching numbers on the standard manifold to see how it stacks up with our cams?

both, I'm thinking of what lone wolf did. New plenum and stacks.

So i dug out my plenum and measured the volume using the method above and I got a volume of approximately 1L give or take. It could be slightly more, maybe 1.2~ its a bit of a fiddly proces but 1L is probably close enough for calcs.
Thats just the volume of just the plenum NOT the plenum and the top halve of the runners.
