Thread: Need input for intake manifold fab

For anyone who has or is considering building an intake manifold utilizing nissan side feed injectors,
what do you guys use for injectors boss's if the factory head flange is not used?

I am a bit tired of cutting up factory flanges so I had head flanges made. Just curious to see what some of you have done.

Going top feed would be the easy way out, but I know someone has done this side feed.

Just get a machine shop to turn up some bosses to suit the side feed injectors, just measure them up off the factory bosses and weld them on.
Wouldn't cost much. Just get some 1" OD Bar chuck it in the lathe, drill a thru hole, then turn the step in the bore for the injector seal.
Depending on how your fabricating the manifold you could also get them cut with a 45 deg so you sit it on the runner and weld around.
Thats how'd I'd do it anyway. Hope that helps a bit.
