Thread: Slipping Clutch (B15 disk and JWT PP) on stock VE on the track

Hi,

After about 1000 miles of tracking my car I feel like my clutch is slipping a bit in between fast shifts, I have a JWT pp and B15 clutch disk on a stock VE. I was wondering what the next more agressive clutch disk would be suitable for my application (half daily driving, half tracking).

Damn.. i was going to buy this clutch setup for track racing, but thats not good information.

UNDER EXTREME HEAT CONDITION i wouldnt expect it to hold but it held long enough

People always say that the jwt pp and b15 disc combo is fine for dd and strip, but I would never use that combo. I want a little more bite then that.

you need a adamantium pressure plate,flywheel ,tranny case,miko bracket,carbon kevlar disc, adamantium throw out bearing clips, new throw out bearing, and brand new oem cable and THEN and ONLY THEN will you never have a problem with tranny.

adamantium axles help too

lets not forget the clutch cable bein made from diamonds..

oh but seriously... i've had my clutch in for over 1000 miles.. i put tons of fun on it too.. been to the drag strip also.. not to mention i bought it used with like 6000 or so miles on it (i forget) i've never had any slip issues..

My novice advice is to not slam the gears at track day.?

If you watch Club Racer in-car cams, a lot of guys don't shift as fast as they can.

yea thats true, i never shift as fast as i can.. i doit quick enough as to not lose too many rpms but not so quick that im missing gears or bein to ruff on the tranny.. i dont think my trans has to long to live anyway so i am pretty careful about how i shift ect..
