It is the 2nd generation of the SR20VE engine. More power, better flowing, MUCH more expensive.

About the 20V springs? If this is what you have in mind, you would be better off getting the Supertech SR20VE dual valve springs. They can be had for around $160 and they are worth the investment over the 20VE/20V spring combo. BNIB 20V springs are around $100, if memory serves me well.

Well damn then. I suppose a mod like this would have been more cost worthy a few years back. Thanks for the heads up

Cheers thanks for that. I can get them for under half the supertech price and plan on running sr16ve cams. So 20v outer and 20ve inner should be enough for 9000rpm. After that piston speed becomes a problem anyway. To me the 20v/20ve combo looks good in terms of valve float and power zapping stiffness.

Do i need change 20v head valve seats to 20ve seats to get dual springs on ?

What the difference over the regular sr20ve retainer and 20V retainer ? Is it the valve top (where the retainer fix) different ?

Yes, the 20v/VET valve is 5.5mm. 1n5 Heads are 6mm
