I have yet to see a complete parts list for what's needed to do the swap in a b13 then for a b14 then a nx2k. Its so easy to do I am surprised I have not seen it yet.

Thanks, Vadim, for getting this together for us.

Maybe you should do a parts list for it. It's not like you really need any parts to swap it in. Tuned ECU and a cam switch is about it. Any lowport intake will work, and any SR20DE aftermarket header will work with very slight modification to the header flange holes.

I made write ups for the necesary modifications to wiring that you need to do to make them work.

the ve swap is easy... infact i think i only had to buy a few things, like the hose adapter for the heater.. other then that i pretty much just used all the stuff from the de that i needed.. like the iacv and temp / oil pres sensors / de dizzy, coil an ignitor chip. you could basicly bolt a ve into the place of a de with no problems.. you can even make it use the stock air box, but the egr crap on the manifold has to be capped off..

its all the goodies that cost an arm and a leg, like i/h/e, vvl rpm switch, ecu and clutch kit.. thats just for starters..

then theres the things that need to be modifyed if you want to use them, like the power steering pump needs notched so the hose clears the oil filter.. takes like 30 seconds with a grinder.. then theres the de dizzy if you wanna use it the grinder will take that bottom leg off pretty quick, an really u only have to get half way through it then u can use your palm (but its prolly hot!!) so use a hammer or something an give it a few taps an it'll fall right off, then you can clean the cut up a bit with the grinder to make it look nice.

or if you want to use the ve dizzy then see this thread here: http://www.sr20-forum.com/ve/24298-how-wire-ve-distributor-b13-b14-engine-harness.html

the way i did it i didnt have to make a single cut in the harness..

the grinder comes in handy a 3rd time, this is for the throttle cable, just take the ve bracket and grind out where it mounts to the manifold theres a little hump on it that needs to be flattend out so it sits flush against the manifold, then botta bing botta bang the cable works perfect.. a little bit of adjustment an your good to go!

thats all i can really think of off the top of my head, but maybe it'll help someone.

The VE does not have EGR. There is only one hole on the DE intake box that would need to be plugged.

You can use the older DE oil filter mount to remedy this. Plus it'll place the oil filter back up next to the head like the B13's.

This is no longer necesary on both B13 and B14. Just follow the write up for the VE distributor in the new tech section.

yea i know the ve doesnt have egr, i was talkin about the 2 things on the header that need plugged.. greg v sells plugs just for that..

i didnt know about that little oil filter trick, Good info there man!

an ya i know that you dont have to use the b13/14 dizzy but alot of people do, since theres a write up on the swap they can go that route, an infact i'll edit that post to include a link to your thread

when its light out tomorrow i will see if my friend will let me use his cam to take a pic of the throttle cable bracket..

Yeah, my VE came with most of the oil filter mount broken off, so I had to replace it. I tried to find a VE/RR specific one, but couldn't. I went to the local foreign engine place here and they gave me a B13 filter mount for free, and I didn't even buy the engine from them. It bolts right and clears everything on the head, plus I prefer the location over it being on the lower back of the block.

Sweet, cuz I just have mine held on by the lower bolt and leaning back toward the IACV which you can see in my IACV write up.
