Ok, I rewired my switch so that it gets signal from the tach wire from the ecu, but now I have a new question.

I swapped out my GXE tachless cluster for an SE-R cluster. I repinned everything and it all works perfectly. I have a 5000 rpm pill in my switch, however, my cams are engaging at ~5300 RPM's. Does anybody know why this is?

my guess is its the inaccuracy of the guage, and that the cams are actually switching @5k. account for this during tuning.

Exactly. Stock tachs are known for being off. The cams are actually engaging at 5k.

Is there anything I can do to make it accurate?

swap your cluster for another one and hope that it's calibrated right

My tach is off as well. I have my cams set at 5600 and on my tach is looks like its at 6100 lol. Sometimes its so off that it looks like it doesn't crack till almost 7K!

I think I'm gonna need a new cluster or at least speedo unit anyway, cuz when I pylled my needle iff it took the rod and spring out with it and i cant get it back to how it was unless I get some sort of tech specs on it. But i can always just get one at Pull & Save.
