tip for u... for my 4-1 header, my downpipe hung 3" off the ground... raised up the car 1" and welded on 1/4" thick flat iron (on each dp), about 10" long x 1.5" wide. guy called it a skid plate. looked it up on the net and aparantly they make em for honda 4-1 bseries headers. see pic




so mine still rubs on certain roads but no more dents.... jus hope no major hit dont break the welds or something worse

It's the nature of the beast. SR20's don't have the kinda clearance honda's do. Any 4-1 is going to hang low no way around it. A skid bar of some type needs to be added to the stock crossmemeber so when the car bottoms out that takes the brunt of the force vs the header.


^I would be interested in getting a skid plate. I've also thought about coming up with something for my oil pan as well. I took the splash guards off just on the bottom side.

Doesn't seem to much lower than the other 1. Most of the sr20's in NYC are daily driven...that would be a nightmare.
