but isnt std sr16 11:1 and n1 11.3:1? that means that comp should be then higher..... besides theyd prob be much harder to come by...

n1 head is shaved so that gives the slight increase in comp if i remeber corectly and the n1 pistons have deeper valve notches i think.

VE head on a DE block is the same as a regular VE all thats different is it doesnt have oil ways for the head..

how come all of a sudden having a DE block means that N1 cams now wont work with 16 pisons?

Its not the block its the difference between 1.6 and 2.0 crank and rods. DE block doesn't have the piston oil squirters and a few grooves on the mains for oiling.

im talking compression and piston clearence how come all of a sudden putting a VE head on a DE block means that N1 cams wont clear 16ve pistons and the compression will shoot sky high..
