using a sr16ve ecu in my sr20ve?
What if I use a stock sr16ve ecu in my nx, which has a sr20ve and a greddy mss for switch over points, and grab a VE maf will the car rive and function pretty good or will there be issues??? Also what is the stock rev limiter on the 16ve ecu also??

thanks ad if this has been didcussed whih I am sure it has I apologize now! Just wondering.....

The ecu timing is to much for the 20ve motor...the mapping for fueling will also be off so the 20ve is ganna be lean....from what ive seen about 15:1 - 16:1 afr. The stock rev limit is 7800rpm.

it will work great with bigger injectors or a fuel comp like an apexi afc

Been used successfully with 370cc injectors. Rev limit is 8200.

...one very old topic, excuses for bumping this up, but I have the SR16VE engine, SR20"stroker kit", the SR16VE ECU and the 370cc injectors...
Does anyone has an idea about the AFR ratio of this "setup", or any other "issues" ?
Many thanks!

Why even risk it? A wideband can be had for peanuts these days, and is the most important thing to have when doing anything at all that could affect the AFR...

I ran my VZR for a few weeks on SR16VE ECU, SR20VE 11:1 compression, Franklin 20v/n1 hybrids, 370cc injectors. Car ran great and pulled nicely through out the rev range but CHUGGED the gas, ran far too rich at idle and low rpm and was horrible to drive when cold and driving at very low speeds (going up drive way, trying to park ECT). Getting the car tuned after that was like night & day.

I would NOT recomend using the SR16VE ecu as a permanent computer, but rather as a temporary as a first start ecu or something to get around till tune day
