My buddy has had nothing but problems when using the ve distributor on his b14 and that was using 3 different ones all had the same issue. They were all wired correctly and brand new cap and rotor from GregV. The car would run fine below 6k, above 6k he would get a nasty misfire and the tone of the motor would just go flat and make absolutely no power. Almost like it was running very very lean or excessive timing. Which this was not the case as he has a wideband on it and all. Could never figure it out. He tried the whole removing the resistor and it ended up frying the distro, so put it back in and problem still stayed.

I dont know if this has something to do with that little capacitor looking piece on the b14 distro that is not present on the ve one or what. but all I know is he put the b14 one back on and it was back to normal making awesome power all the way to 9k no misfire. So now his option is to put a p11 one on that will move the connectors out of the way of the solenoids. So yeah not a fun experience with the whole thing. Again verified with 3 distributors, all wiring is right according to the fsm and the whole wiring write up. So kinda lost. Im thinking its just a signal output difference in the ve distro.
