And the b13 one too? I'll need the wiring diagrams AND the pinout charts. You can just pm them to me if you'd like.

now that's what i'm talking about!! sweet!

with the iacv - just have to adjust the length of the wire not the coupler etc right?

Correct. You need to extend both plugs unless you just pull the plugs and wires out of the harness and just relocate them. Now that I menion it, that's gonna be a whole easier than cutting, extending, and soldering back together... one of the plugs does need to be replaced because the DE stuff uses the older plug where the VE uses plugs similar to the solenoid plugs for the IACV. You basically just have to cut and replace one plug for the IACV.

Ok, I think I may have figured out how to wire the VE dizzy into a B13 harness.

I'll make a write to include both B13 and B14 diagrams.

I just went through this within the past few days, VE distributor to B13 wiring. Working fine, no hiccups. When you do your write up we can compare info to make sure it's consistent. Don't know if anyone remembers a member on the old forums, jacen99SE. He had a post in `04 that gave an accurate description of the 8 wires coming from the VE distributor and their colors as they connect to the power transistor, crank angle sensor, and coil on a 94 SE-R. Took me 5 years but while cleaning up some minor issues recently it was time to give it a try. The techs at Peoria Nissan couldn't figure it out but did start the project. This thread was the motivation to get it done. The 8 wires from the VE distributor when looking from the radiator start at the top left and going down 1-4, then moving to the top right and going down again for 5-8.
1.Green. Goes to a green with yellow stripe traced to the coil
2.White with red stripe. Goes to black with red stripe, also traced to the coil circuit.
3.Black with white stripe. Goes to black wire traced to the power transistor/ignitor chip.
4.Brown (or tan) with white stripe. Goes to white traced also to the power transistor
*5-8 are for the camshaft position/crank angle sensor connection for the DE distributor.
5.Black. Goes to black.
6.White with red stripe. Goes to orange with grey or lavender stripe.
7.Black with white stripe. Goes to yellow.
8.Blue. Goes to blue.(lavender in the FSM, looks more like blue)

At least that's how it's connected on a 94 SE-R. I kept the factory connections and had some extras that I connected to the VE pigtail with extra wiring for the coil, power transistor/ignitor chip, and camshaft/crank position sensor so if the VE distributor takes a crap I can hook up the DE coil, chip, & distributor without issue. The resistor/condenser in the harness that needs to be removed extends from the main harness about 3-4 inches and is pressed in at the end. Remove the tab that secures it and pry it out carefully. Hope this helps, LukaMcCloud you probably will have an easier way of making this work in your write up. Either way this is long overdue and now for those who want this option it's available.

You don't have to hack a leg of the dizzy if you use the VE one.

lol it took me like 1 minute with a grinder to cut the leg off an i dont have hacked wiring.. so if thats the only bonus well, its not much of one. but to each they're own

My harness is unhacked also. This is an option if one is interested. I now have less clutter in my engine bay and my VE distributor has far less mileage on it's components than my original DE one. The VE distributor came with my 1st VE as well as ECU, harness, alternator, & power steering pump. If I didn't have the VE distributor with the motor I would not go out of my way to source one to replace my DE one since cutting the leg off would have been easier to do. This install for me was a bit challenging because I didn't want to hack up any of my original wiring so I used the OEM connectors to make it work. Since Greg V can get replacement parts for the VE distributor it made my decision that much easier. Extra OEM connectors for the VE pigtail can be found at your favorite junkyard or as some have done hardwire the pigtail into the DE harness without connectors. That wasn't an option for me.

I don't see how this is a hacked harness... If you are halfway intelligent and have the slightest bit of common sense and know how to solder, then you can properly do it with no headaches.

You tell me if this looks hacked.

it's an easy job, and a hell of a lot more reliable than cutting off one of the TWO bolts that hold on the distributor. That is what would be considered hacked.
