Thread: Honda ECU

They are waiting for a few orders to start doing the prefabbed harnesses, not only that but they have to mate an sr dizzy with a bseries dizzy as well. There's a lot more to this than people think.

so nistune FTW?

Whats so great about Nistune? Very limited capabilities compared to the Honda stuff out there. I would rather run a Basic than a Nistune. Same features but i have to burn chips to change tunes and since i dont change everyday there is no need.

On the other hand, Calum RTv2 FTW. If you can find one.

It's cheaper than going with a Honda setup, you can live tune it and u get tech support from the owner if u have a problem? Duno but I like my Nistunes.

on a more serious note, i love my nistune as well.

you can find a calum RTv2 but people want 450 for them thangs. i spent wayyy less than that for my nistune.

Nistune is gonna cost you $500+ with all cables and software (otherwise why get it if you cant tune it fully?)

It would have been wonderful in the days where the only ECU available was JWT. But now, with Calum gone, I think its the only tunable option anyways if you dont wanna compplicate yourself going Honda or Standalone$.

I will hold to my Calum RT v0 for the longest time, even more if Dave comes with tunercode for the B14

As i said before you dont have near the capabilities as you would if you ran say a Hondata S300, hands down.



Why am i nuts? Cause i can spend $150 and get the same tuning capabilities as you.

To each their own but to me Nistune is no where near worth the $350 or so that it is going for.

I will never run a Honda ECU but it is a good option vs a standalone.

im not doubting the honda ecu capabilities its just the price it cost to get it in the car an working thats a little nutz lol.. but to each they're own.. for me nistune works perfect and was in my price range..

Get out of the cave nistune is not the only tunable option out there.



Good for you nothing wrong with the calum ecu or the tuner code. I prob would have gone with the tuner code if a few criteria's had been met. 1 been able to get a Calum real time ecu. I would have waited months upon months and prob never got it. 2 multi platform use, I use my nistune software on my B13 and my S14. Matt @ nistune constantly works on the nistune program to bring updates so for right now tuner code is better for the B14/B13 but that's for now. The next update could change all that but who cares I'll keep my nistune and be happy with it till I go to a standalone.

As I said it still would be cheaper than going with a honda setup. The thing with nissan ecu's is that only a few people have redone the code on them vs the honda where it's been done to death. I still don't get why u brought up the cost point if u never will run a honda ecu in your car.
