Another ignition problem/????
I've read the pin for the cams is # 3. The general consensus is that the wire off the coil is unreliable. I'm trying to avoid running another wire thru the firewall. That pin wire is getting its feed from somewhere in the engine compartment.
Another ? is I have a msd 6al I want to install. Should get its signal feed from the same wire. Anyone install it, is it worth the trouble??
Thanks... Mike

The SR20deep Ct guys (who are very good with VE's) suggested to me to change my cam switch trigger wire TO the coil, not away from it. Maybe one of them will chime in here.

yea thats odd, most write ups i see say to use the one that goes from the ecu to the tach, thats the one im using an so far it works great.. but ya i'd like to see the reasonings for usin the coil signal

I've seen the writeup you did, thats where it came from. But there must be a wire in the engine compartment that feeds the ecu. Thats the one I'm trying to track down

Thats might be the way I'm leaning towards. I'm wondering if there is any loss in signal if I also tap the msd into the same wire
BTW..... I missed you when you went to Ct. I went to atl [again]. Hooked up with a forum member and found some out of the way junkyards. There was a 91nx and scored some parts. There was a 92 hardtop there and got some more. A hardtop, never seen one before. Got the sunshades and one of the t top bags. Imagine that....... BUT..... sworn to secrecy as to the location
