Need some SR20VE w/ N1's and Nitrous advice build??
OK here's the deal now I really want to get the most out of my VE powered car and my next best option and most reasonable and reliable option is to finally get some N1's along with s/r's, cam gears, and really see and hear what this engine is capable of doing especially when she is getting a decent shot of nitrous down its throat at around 8500rpm, but I will be adding a VET HG or whatever is strongest and a set of ARP HS's that I pulled from one of my previous builds. Should sound pretty damn amazing and hold it well with the proper engine management.
I am currently using the sr16's, which really made a nice increase in power, but it just isn't enough to keep up with the turbo guys. I need to make in the 200+whp range to put myself back in the low 13's with the added power of the N1's, cam gears, and additional rpms.....Even more once I get the nitrous, which I am dead set on doing instead trying to boost it
Basically I want to make around 210whp or really close all motor and with do it with my set-up below + some added goodies like first getting my calum ecu returned(no problem with that yet), add N1 cams, some b/c springs and titanium retainers, raise my rev limiter to 9K, which sounds good to me and the cams and head should do it w/o any issues I am assuming?? Do I need some rocker arm stoppers? Even though (btw I will be adding some ARP headstuds for later on(since I already have them) and I am also adding a stronger HG(again which is the best? or should I just buy a VET?? , but after that my question is HOW is it possible to rev with a calum basic ecu????I thought all they can go to is 8010, so I do need a new aftermarket igniton and coil don't I? Which system is recommended and used by most of the 9K+ revers and what model numbers do I look for? Now if there is anyway to do this through a calums' ecu or is there some way around cam gears set at??? This is where I need some peoples VE first hand experience, knownledge and input, because I have no idea where to set my cams gears at, so somebody chime in who knows what they are talking about and has or is very fimilar with the same set-up I have especially the same ssac header w/2.5" downpipe, going straight to a 3" test-pipe, and finally out a 3" mandrel bent exhaust all the way out a freeflowing magnaflow mtuffler! There is NO back pressure in that exhaust.....
My aim here is to make the most hp that I can make out of the VE motor as is everybody's i guess??, whether it be with the N1's with the s/r's, cam gears set at +5 -5 or +2 -5(new one I am hearing with ssac header)and the 9K rev limit or should I just stick with my sr16's maybe grab geras and s/r's for them??
I know this stuff has been answered, but the answers are all over and really hard to put together for he true answer!
thanks!
