Exactly as mentioned above. Most with Calum basic ECU's run an SAFC to fine-tune on top.

Now, if you know of someone with a Realtime in the area, all you'd need would be someone that can burn chips. You use the realtime to tune, then save the bin file and have them burn it to your chips.

i see, so an safc might not be a bad idea eh.. good to know. i dont know anyone in my area with a calum r/t so im prolly gonna have to tune with an safc it looks like, or possibly just get a burner an some chips and buy tunes from forum members.. like i said im gonna have a wideband so runnin lean an rich will be noticeable.. plus i wanna learn how to tune.. so we'll see what happens, i think for now im gonna set the timing back to 15 and run my switch at 4800 or so..

yea man i think 4600 rpm for the switch is kinda early...i got man at 4800 rpm and it feels a whole lot different...definitely 15 deg...i rechecked mines after i got all the little vacumm leaks worked out and it was at like 11 degrees when i remember setting it at 14-15 degrees

i just switched my rpm switch to 4800, i must say the vvl seems louder, well maybe not louder, but a more noticable change over.. the butt dyno isnt very reliable but it did feel a little stronger. i will adjust the timing down to 15 soon
