lol, i was being somewhat sarcastic.

But its not as hard to tune an n/a car as it is a turbo car. You cant argue that. N/A is about displacement and flow and having everything flow evenly and work together. If you get that part down and tune it correctly its fairly easy to do.

Reason why nobody has hit these numbers n/a yet is because people just never stepped up to the plate and spent the money it takes to make that much power in N/A form. Plain and simple. Boost is easier and cheaper to make more power but requires a lot more skills in the tuning department.

Once you have the right parts combined the tuning is easy. This is why every single shop charges almost 1/2 the cost to tune an n/a car, no matter what it may be. Because its easier and takes less time. That is what i was referring to. lol take me too seriously.

But you cant argue that nobody has stepped up to do this yet and now we have several people. Because people are taking the risk and seeing just how much they can push out of the VE motor you will start to see what money, time, and tinkering can do. Thats what the n/a game is all about. Finding what parts work best. But all in all its easier, just more money. haha

Uhhhh its harder to make good power on an NA, ESPECIALLY high comp. It's ALL in parts design and TUNING. Any monkey can slap on a turbo and make that power or more.

When the car gets over 305-310 WHP within the next week or so, I want to know what all the Honda K24 guys are going to say.

There will be about 5-6 of these motors putting out 290-310 WHP buy the end of the year.

The world is now easy to understand now that the 2.4Ls are making more WHP than the 2.3Ls.

Cory 2.3L making 270WHP

Jamie 2.4L making 310 WHP in about 1 week or less.

If it were REALLY that easy, you would have done it

Any monkey can slap a turbo build together with no experience. It takes genuine ingenuity to put an N/A build together like this. It requires old fashioned brains to think outside the box.

This build is exactly what old school hotrodders used to do: try something new.

Props to Jamie and all others going big this season!

True that,

There was a japanese company that spent $50,000 on an s2000 motor, 2.7L build to make a measly 307whp and not even barely over 200wtq.

A guy on the s2k forum did a 2.7L build spending $25000 and made only 285whp. Again its all about flow. We know the head on sr20gtir's car has extensive work done and thats where its at. Proper headwork and everything else to go with it to where everything is flowing within each other, intake, head, and header. Then tune it out with a good cam that can keep up with the flow and you will make power.

BTW, anyone can slap a turbo on and make that much power but when we are talking money to money, it takes about the same amount of money to build a 300whp VE n/a as it does to build a 700whp DE/VE turbo. However, the 700whp turbo takes extensive more tuning and caution or KABOOM. N/A you have a lot more leway and forgiveness for errors in tuning. Cant wait to see the first 300whp VE. Im sure it wont be long.

Dre:

My statement still stands. 320whp+ and 265wtq+

With that higher flowing manifold and those Kelford 184-C's, that cars going to MOVE. All in a sick ass nondescript 4 door sentra
