Btw u guy gotta remember the sr16 trans shares the same 4th gear as the se-r trans so its still to tall unless ur making peak power very very low in the rpm band..

Wow, the sound is actually pleasant. 4 cylinders usually suck in the sound department, but this is very nice. Very mean indeed. No stock bore and stroke SR is going to sound like that!

That was open headers i believe. It ll sound a whole lot better with the exhaust hookee up.

Ya open headers are deafening. From the videos I've seen, it seems like the VE doesn't change pitch until you stroke it. The 2.3L sounds very similar to the 2.0L, but if I was blindfolded, I wouldn't know that this 2.4L is a VE. Of course, it could be because it has open headers. Also, where are you making peak power? Is power still going up after your shift point of 8k?
