What do you mean it won't rev over 6500rpm?

Hits a limiter? runs out of power?

My old VZ-R did that only when I was racing. I used it like a launch control per say, check your speedometer see if its working or connected. thats the only time I had that happen, at a dead stop free revving it would jus sit on 6500rpm after I got rolling i was able to pass the 65 and shift at 8300

I would imagine that you would have to be driving to rev past there. I know the stock K series does the same thing for sure, would make sense that the sr20ve also would do something similar

Since you are using the sr16ve ecu, at standing the motor will not rev to 8300rpm. It was designed that way.

If it is not revving to 8300rpm while driving then you have another problem. In that case I cant help.

This is off-topic but, since you are running sr20 motor with sr16ve ecu, I imagine you have a piggy back device to add some fuel. Right?

Peace
