ARP headstuds??
Will the stock DE ARP headstuds work on a sr20ve?? I am considering boosting mine and have them laying around form a previous buid and thought I would use them.

If they are not worth using then I will just sell them.

Also what head gasket is recommended for this application?? A VET maybe?

thanks

Sell em and get new stocks. VET headgasket is good.

I would use them but that just me and I know people say they dont bottom out but your not going to be making over 400hp so you wont have to worry about it.

Yeah if i decide to boost the VE I want them and a VET gasket. I made 400+ on them and they never lifted....

The new studs are the 220K tensile strength. But they still don't bottom out. Regardless, I have used both kinds and the new set has held up to 26psi without any issues. I am currently using a cometic with ARPs, but the stock 20V headgasket seemed to fit better.

There is not a doubt in my mind they will hold anything my setup can throw at em.

I was running 22psi with the arps and never had a problem, so I will continue to use them and when i eventually turbo my VE with a gt30 or something better I will use them and a cosworth or VET headgasket!
