Thread: Post up pictures and sounds of your cat-back

I have the HKS cat-back on my B13 right now but want to go with a 3" system but am unsure which muffler to go with. I was looking into a VRS system but thought I would see what everyone else was running to get some ideas.

I was going for quiet as possible...
here you go
No cat,(2) 5" round magnaflows back to back,3" VRS mandrel bent piping,into a Vibrant Ultra-quiet Stealth flatblack powdercoated muffler.
Its very quiet and sleeper for a 3".

i have the hks cat back too and the ssac 2.5, and a cat as of right know. i was looking under the car and at the muffler section the exhaust goes from 60mm to like 2.5 inch into the muffler.
i like the way the hks sounds i just wish it was louder and flowed better. any thoughts on running 3 inch all the way to the muffler and then just a reducer back to 2.5 for the muffler? oh yeah with a 2.5 or 3 inch test pipe?

what type a header is that ???...........sound nice. what the power on this car now ???

Happynole has a badass Turbofreak custom header .His car has n1 cams and other mods.

I am running ASP budget header on my nx.I am still on stock cams,

Both headers were made by "snickers"

Thanks for the great documentation. If you were to start over again, would you do anything differently?

The only things I would like to try is maybe 2 glass packs instead of the resonators.There is still a little drone in the car,but nothing terrible.I really thought the 2 back to back was gonna be quieter.

Otherwise,I am very happy with it.

One thing I will say,is that the VRS kit requires you to weld all the flanges and hangers on,where a system from OEM would have all that done already.However,I wanted the Vibrant muffler,not the magnaflow that OEM offers.

Great input thanks everyone. I am going to have to do some deciding and get something soon.
I think the HKS cat-back is 2.36" according to their website and that definitely can't be helping the N1 cams.
