VVL Switch Problems!
Yesterday while installing an activation switch from Granatelli I was pulling the RPM signal from my cluster (blue/orange wire). It worked fine but then it shorted to ground after the black tape came off.

The car now does not want to rev past 2400RPM. I have since disconnected the Granatelli switch and tried switching clusters again; but no luck. Any thoughts on what could be wrong? Is my ECM fried???

I would have to check if it goes back to the ECU. I read the Hanes manual and got the signal of the (blue/orange) wire. The car was already running when it shorted to ground.

I have a spare JWT ECU, but its for 9.5 comp, 370cc, pop charger and turbo. If I were to plug this one up it would at least let me rev over 2300 rpm right?
Maybe then I would know if the ECU is fried!

Well while installing the switch I had the whole intake off the car and it seemed to rev just fine when I was testing the switch.

How do you reset the ECU? Wouldnt disconnecting the batt take care of that?

Also I noticed that when I step on the gas it sounds as if I had a 2-step program.

Thanks Thor,
I just double checked and had no signal from my Maf. I guess with the intake completely off the car reved fine, but now that it's bolted on it won't work if the maf is disconnected.

I hooked it back up and the car is running fine. Just one more question.
Two (-) wires come off the solenoinds one is orange and the other is greenish, wich one is the intake ,and exhaust?
