VE Ecu or DE ECU ? - How to tell difference?
Good Morning,

A bit of a problem. My ECU recently got fried. How can you tell the difference between the VE and DE ECU's ? - Im strongly suspecting that i bought a DE brain under the pretence of a VE brain.

Any identifying marks/numbers/serial codes would be helpful.

I do not know how to upload a picture.

The writing on the ECU reads:

Nissan 5P
23710-AK7130
A18-M23 ZDZ
UNISIA JECS CORPORATION

I have came across a lot of VE ecus.

From memory:

SR20VE ecus are usually 23710-5J001, 23710-5J002, 23710-5J010 etc, but I have seen a couple strange like 23710-WD400

SR16VE ecus are usually 23710-2N500, 23710-2N502, 23710-2N510 etc

Your ecu is coming from SR20VE either P11 or U14 manufactured later than December 1999
