Greddy MSS issues
I have checked my MSS and for some reason port 2 doesn't want to switch my exhaust cam. It seems like the box gets hot when sitting in the car in hot weather, and fails to switch the port 2.

I have checked for an issue with wiring, but wires check out good, no excess resistance.

the box when reset sometimes starts to switch again, but then quits, and only switches port 1.

I tested ground at the MSS when it switches and have confirmed that it will not provide a ground when this happens.

So it is pretty much looking like the MSS is bad, or just stops switching when it gets hot. anyone else have these issues? It is 100* out right now and I have never had the issue when night rolls around, but I am really not sure at this point. I am going to try to use relays to see if maybe there is too much amp draw for the MSS to handle, but port 1 works fine. Sigh.

I had some issues with mine, but in the alarm circuit.
It always switched both cams(as far as I could tell) but everytime you would start the car...the alarm would go off on the mss and the display goes red.
You could push the button to reset it and it at least stopped the beep. The display would stay red,and it seemed to still work fine.
Every once and a while I would be just driving along and the display would go orange and act normal for a while. Then occasionally it would go red-orange-red ittermittantly, sounding the alarm every time it went red.Afterhitting the button and it doing that,it would be fine again.

I had NO luck whatsoever finding a place to get it repaired, and removed it from my car.
I still have it and really liked it when it still worked right
Hope to get it fixed someday,so LMK if you find any info on that.

I am using a msd rpm switch to swith both cams at the same time for the time being.

Good luck with yours

Oh yeah, and mine got hot too when it was on.

Ya I cooled it off by putting it in the shade, and sure enough... it started working again. This will be very annoying if it does this on the track.

Also the Greddy MSS cannot be bought new anymore, so other ways of switching both cams independently are needed (besides buying two MSDs).

Anyone heard of the GRANATELLI GM-DWS100 Digital Dual RPM Window Switch sold on ebay and by JEGS? Will that work as the MSS?
