Can you elaborate on this a little more Would the one with more tension strength be better for a certain type of cam? Would I need a cam larger than a F4 to justify using the 130# spring??

Dont use the 130lb spring unless revving over 10K, or you hate your valves. 100lbs is plenty of pressure to run stock VE cams to 9K, and SR16 or N1 can rev even higher.

I have had the BC springs float numerous times after 85-9k. I run the SuperTech Dual springs & they hold all the way to 11k!

Whats good Joel? I got those Pistons sitting on the shelf with your name on it,

The guy who built my engine felt the franklin springs were a bit on the stiff side for his liking, or what he's used to should I say. He did mention they would rob a few hp.

But I guess that means they are good to very very high rpms as well.

Hey urbanracerone, what's the specs (#) of the supertech springs?? I'm waiting on a reply from the Franklin rep to get the # on their springs. They use japan race springs from a motorcylce that are good for 11k rpms. I'm trying to decide if I want the Franklin or Supertech at this point.

It's the Super Tech's. The BC didn't stick out that bad on Ivans.

You can get the Supertech Springs 100/130lb seat pressure for 139 on VE Springs they also have the kit for a lil over 300. I have the race springs on my setup but the street/strip ones will work just as fine.

does anyone know the seat pressure on the various springs?

stock 2.0
bc
super tech
franklin

i know ive been using the bc for a few years now and they have been great, no issues at all. but i wonder if they are overly stiff. my set up sees 9200ish rpm w N1s

But if you keep revs up to 8500 rpm, would the SR16 or N1 still springs hold up?
