I should know the answer to your question :o I got Over Kill Engineering to put the longest res they could on my set up. I want to say it's 18 inch but I'm not sure to be honest. I cant find my receipt for some reason. I checked the website so I'm pretty sure it is Nissan / Infiniti

SLap 2 flow masters in line with a resonator and cat...This should kill all traces of exhaust decibels.

I'll try to get a VID up of my temporary "09" setup.

If you do decide to do a new exhaust, I would go all the way to 3 inch for sure.
If you want to make it quiet, you need to spend the money on the proper resonators and muffler.

^Bingo, ask me how I know lol.

Assuming you're more interested in performance than decibel level you don't want a flowmaster.
If a throaty but decently quiet sound is more important than performance, flowmaster is your ticket.

So what your saying is Flowmaster doesn't is not actually the master of flow, that's false advertising on their end!

they chamber exhaust, not straight through. A very long magnaflow/dynomax round muffler from header to first bend, then another magnaflow/dynomax oval or round can in the back would be the best bet.

I was asking if anyone one specifically tested a VE with this exhaust http://www.sr20-forum.com/naturally-aspirated-all-motor/132-how-build-quiet-inexpensive-3-side-exit-exhaust.html#post950

I did it with a T28 turbo and it was very nice

i think i might just do the ben fenner exhaust ...trips resonator and then just one muffler if i go 3 inch...i might pick up another thrush turbo if i can get one in 3in
