You'll be okay with the 60mm exhaust. It won't be the end of the world.
If you do decide to do a new exhaust, I would go all the way to 3 inch for sure.
If you want to make it quiet, you need to spend the money on the proper resonators and muffler.

my thing is would excessive amounts of resonators(like the one on your car ) create more back pressure equal to that of running smaller diameter pipe?

No. Straight through resonators and mufflers don't constitute much of a restriction.

It's only loud on the high cams with your foot really in it

How noisy would a side exhaust 3" be with those big 36" long magnaflow resonators?

I mean off the VVL daily driving, VVL has got to be loud as hell

yeah im considering keeping what i have on there now since it IS my DD as well...ill get a sound clip up soon its really quiet as it is now even when im layin on it its not that loud...and yeah im expecting it to be loud when VVL kicks in just not while im cruisin

HA! I had that B4 I went with the OEM 3 inch and let me tell ya, it's loud period! If you run a cat it may help some when cruising, but when the VVL kicks the sound will kick your ear right along with it It ran really good up top though
