Exhaust diameter
So im pretty dead set on going VVL next spring(hopefully i can snag one of those 800 dollar beauties!!) my current setup involves a DE,, ssac and the HKS classic sport 60mm(going into a thrush turbo ) my question is... will that 2.37 inch exhaust be sufficient enough for a VE( dont really think so but hey) or should i go 2.5 or 3 inch....

like wise i also contemplated installing an exhaust cutout before the muffler to gain more velocity but at the same time thats a far left backburner idea

my goal is to achieve best performance while staying QUIET!!

Your not going to get performance and stay quiet unless you do a cutout. Some states have laws against cutouts. I will always have a 3" exhaust on a ve setup. "If your gonna be a bear, be a grizzly."

I disagree I just seen a 10 second daily driven integra with the most quiet exhaust I heard in my life. It is possible.

I picked up 6whp/5wtq with a cutout over the the HKS. This was on stock cams.

might explain why integras are slow hehe

its possible to be quiet with a 2.5 or 3'...well kinda quiet.

im assuming im not gonna pick much up by going from 2.37 inch to 2.5 inch

My 3 inch exhaust from OEM is not loud. Considering the fact that it's 3 inch. The only way to be really quite is to stay with the smaller exhaust.

Was the exhaust cut out mounted before or after the cat?
