My tb is N1 and I used the stock N1 rubber hose with pod filter on the side.
Rubber hose diameter was 3.38" (86mm)

Then we switched to metal tube 3.15" (80mm) with expansion 3.34" (85mm) for N1 maf.

The pod filter is the same from the beginning. We also made runs with no filter at all. There was no performance impact at all.

just a question playing devils advocate.

could the n1 header and custom secondary be a better setup than the 2.5" ssac. i say this because because the ssac wasn't designed for n1.

so did you make any runs with the larger exhaust with the n1/custom combo?

These runs were made same day with 2.36" exhaust on.
Red line is N1 header (custom secondary)
Blue line is ssac with it's own 2.5" secondary

Do you see a mentionable difference? I don't.

Nice comparison Out of Sight.

Chalk it up for the SSAC again, bested the N1 exhaust manifold.

only way to compare all these headers is on ONE car with same mods... the most basic mods...

I'm doing a dyno of 2 headers next week both opened up. Should be interesting to see what the results are going to be.

Stock SR20VE
Green Storm filter (used)
DE 4-2-1 header
DE exhaust front to back
Magnaflow muffler
ECU optimised because of 5 spd manual instead of auto.

VVL intake 4700 rpm
VVL exhaust 4900 rpm

Im satisfied, knowing that replacing the small SR20DE exhaust system + header will free up some more horses and Newtons

The first merge was 22" and 2nd merge was 32"
