Im with Chris. It looks like the fuji makes more power up to 5800 rpms. Still though you car argue all you want but the SSAC header is the header for the money. HANDS DOWN

You guys cant expect never for a MIRACLE HEADER... you guys need to start tuning you cars with the mods you have and stop copying internet recipes to make power jejeje every car will be different also VE's vary way too much on the whp given the same mods between each other as much as 10 whp so guys stop complaining and start tuning for your own application...

This is the best advice .

saludos man.

^This is the next phase for me. I want to learn how to tune. I have a couple of IS300 and BMW friends that are local I'll be getting with when I get a Realtime. I also have some friends that are in Nashville.

^I like how you can run it with the 2.5 flexpipe/secondary and make 190-200WHP as it has been proven.

The SSAC does perform very well, especially for the money. I don't know how many folks here pre-date the SSAC, but one important thing to remember, is the SSAC started life as a $500+ Hotshot Gen V header. The Chinese manufacturers stole the design and started making them for under $150 pretty much put them out of business.

I don't really want to open the "SSAC killed Hotshot" can of worms, but I figure some people might not know the real story. So why does a $125 header perform nearly as well as a $500 header? Well. that's why.

^Swiss, this post is VALID and I'm glad you brought in the much needed facts. It makes the header comparison people think more since price is a biggie in the SR20 community. The design was stolen and remanufactured at a lower cost, but the performance work was done my a company that put R&D behind it.

Swiss just nailed it. The SSAC is a $500 (probobly $600+ adjusted for inflation) header.

Payu is absolutely right. Tune your own car for the way you want it to run. I had to learn the hard way that what works for someone in So Cal may not work exactly the same for me.

I agree with Dudeman as well. My car is more fun and has more power now than when it had the SSAC.

The SSAC is a good cheap header. But how many of you bashers would trade it for a Fuji or ASP if someone traded you straight up? Likely every one of you. Now, how many people with a Fuji or an ASP would take it out and sell it (for good money) to put an SSAC on and pocket the difference? I know I wouldn't.

Just to clarify ^^^^ The design of the SSAC its not copy of the Hot Shot Gen V a copy its when one part its exactly the same as the other and both headers have differences in design....

They used the Gen V as a base, took Kojima's suggestion regarding primary and secondary sizing and pumped them out. No R&D required.

Yeah, the early SSAC headers were originally spec for spec identical to the HS, but they (along with the other companies that started using that design) made some changes to it over the years, first adding larger primaries, then bumping the secondaries up to 2.5".

For the record, I have an SSAC on my two beaters. I wasn't trying to pass judgement, just putting it out there.

I'm confident you wouldn't have any troubles selling it in the classifieds.
