Also note, the stock DE dyno (that shows a 24 whp gain) was comparing a stock DE with stock timing to a DE with ASP header and 20* timing.

Looks like the Fuji made more HP and torque below 5,800.

Ive always said the SSAC header is by far the best bang for buck. This proves it.

Happynoles dyno does concern me though. The SSAC has a missively huge mid range dip. We are talking astronomical mid range dip. I foud when i had the SSAC, that they made massive gains in the mid range over stock Tubular headers. Although this is on a DE.

Yeah the SSAC is definetly a good header for the money. They have fat primaries (although not tuned to the correct lenghts but the thing they really lack is a good secondary collector and merge collector. But someone could do a good larger piping secondary with a better merge collector to 3" They would probably pick up that broken midrange and probably power up top as well.

This is what we wanted to do with my buddies SSAC header on his de/ve hybrid. I think it would work well.

Tuning an exhaust manifold is a case by case basis. There are so many variables which affect them. I think the fat primaries on the SSAC are brilliant, and work really well being short. The merge section could be improved, but for the price you pay and the results you get - its impossible to complain about. I personally only think the merge section needs to be cleaned up - and i would leave them as is from there on. I have doubts a 3inch collector would do anything as the pressure drops are huge, and having short primaries would probably mess with the velocities in top end. This is my opinion - its an idea, and should only be taken that way.

The reason for the huge difference is that moved his switchpoint down by 500rpm. "As you can see from my first runs (red), it really jumped at my switch point. I lowered my switch point from 5600 to 5100 (green) and picked up a bunch of area under the curve. I later lowered it further to 5000, and now there isn't as much of a "kick" when accelerating. It's more of a nice steady pull that just keeps on growing as the revs climb."

on the asp vs fuji comparo. what you don't see in this is the actual color of the lines. the blue (asp) line is on top all the way ~2400 rpm on up except where they touch from ~5750-6000rpm. they DO NOT cross. this was done on MY b14 and i have the actual chart in FULL COLOR in front of me. so a recalculation of #1 i believe is in order

again, lets look at what this fuji VS asp tells us. a sheeeit load more torque through the mid-range up to 5750 or so, then look what happens after 7000.
as the rpm increases, the gap widens! by 7500 ~7whp. by 7800 we're looking at 10whp! look how the fuji is falling flat. the asp is still going strong at my 7800rpm fuel cut.
you can extrapolate from this chart what the difference may be by 8200. +15hp or more. again, don't start dissing the asp till you have more honest back to back dyno's like what were done in Seattle. just my .02

This looks like one of those bad promotional ads...

on mine, you can't get any more direct comparo. call it Fuji apples to Red Delicious. i prefer the latter
