1mm oversize valves on 16ve pistons
Can anyone confirm if 1mm oversize valves will be okay with 16ve pistons? Or do the valve reliefs need to be enlarged sideways to accomodate?

Need to enlarge them I would say. Use some clay just to confirm

im running supertech valves on both my intake and exhaust
1mm over size on the inlet and 2mm over size on the exhaust
i dont have any problems with them
the valve seats them self have been machined out to suit tho

i would hope the seats were machined to fit. he is talking about interference with the valve reliefs

STR8E18o is running a DET hence he's not having interference issues.

I don't feel like pulling the pistons out, honing the block, buying new rings and machining the pistons valve reliefs, so I'm going to put the stock valves back in for now.

I'd like to do a big valve conversion in the future though. Can't seem to find any infor on wheter it's worhtwhile for NA so far, but my logic tells me it should net the same gains if not better than a higher lift camshaft.
