More swap roadblocks.. wiring tranny sensors
Ve with a b14 tranny was in a b14, going in a 93 nx. One of the plugs on the nx harness was broken. 2 wire, 1 green, 1 red. FSM says it the speed sensor.
The plug on the tranny is also broken.
I have a b13 sensor, but the gear is a different color, but it slips right into the b14 tranny.
Is there any difference??
The wire color on the sensor plug is 1 green, 1 blk. BUT the wire colors on the male plug is 1 red/blk and 1 white

Do you know if you hook the red/blk to the red wire and the blk to the green????
Sounds confusing????? I'm sure someone understands and can give the answer I seek..... Mike

use the b13 sensor bro, it should be a mechanical type where u plug the cable from the speedo in, the one in the b14 uses an electrical type sensor, thus eliminating the cable.. but as long as u use the b13 one, the speedo will work..

it'll be gravy

The speed sensors all fit between the transmissions as far as I know. If you had an electric speed sensor on your car to begin with (and your tach and wiring harness are still set up for this) you'll want an electric speed sensor. Any electric speed sensor from a SR20 manual transmission should do.

As for the wire colors, my advice is to leave the wiring incomplete for now. Once you get the car running then temporarily connect them one way (maybe with some alligator clips or something) and if it works then you're golden. If not, swap the two wires around and test again.

With the drivetrain installed, it is a major PITA to access. Thats why I'm hoping to find some answers. My SER's is presently screwed, hoping to get the swap done and get the nx on the road and fix my ser.

I recently had a p11 RS5F32A installed in my 96 P11 (was auto) and the gearbox was in a Y11 wingroad before so they used that sensor. When it was installed my speedo maxed out way too early causing a fuel cut so i disconnected. Currently i'm awaiting an original P11 speen sensor
