I totally agree with you. Its confusing especially for non-US people...

Man this sucks. I guess you should check them every oil change. I have never heard of this problem.

i wonder if they make an allen head screw small enough to replace these damn TB bolts. might make it easier to tighten them.

btw, I had an piece of ceramic turbine wheel go through a cylinder head once, man did that do some damage, scored the liners and all sorts. Good luck fixing yours.


It is a VE specific problem! I personally know of about 10 VE's that have done this.

Go with the non-RR DE throttlebody, save the headache. It will also give a better cold idle.
