sr20de ecu on sr20ve?
As the topic says is it possible? if so what are the pros/ cons of such a setup?

i believe u can but timing, injector size, and some others are quite different.

Thats what im running now DE ecu and maf. I wont activate vvl until I get calum ecu. Im also running it with ve injectors. No pinging or anything. I hope im ok but its what I got as of right now.

not optimum but should be ok, with safc better to tune injectors

it will start and run just like the VE i think. Did it and working fine

Switch to your DE injectors, the VE's 333cc will foul your plugs FAST.

333cc + DE ecu and maf, and it ran great (for about a week) .

ran my setup that way for a long time (several months). then switched to a g20 ecu for the higher rev limit. NEVER fouled a plug, made MORE power than with the jwt VE programmed ecu and it just plain ran great.
you will need to advance the base timing to at least 20*-24* though. with my setup (3" intake and exhaust) and fuji header i actually increased the Fuel pressure beyond 3 bar and gained power. and the highway mpg's were still in the low 30's. same as it is now with the Calum RT. go figure

yea a buddy of mine ran his ve with a de ecu. he just left the ve inj in and it ran awesome. i was pretty impressed.

Well I might be doing something wrong..

I'm using the DE dizzy, bc I didn't whant to mess with the wiring. I am also using a G20 ecu.

Mabey that's my prob. I think the VE dizzy is a way better unit, than the DE's.
