Those of us who share to "give back" have gotten "somewhere" because we got there before we gave back.

Those who share for other reasons...
Well, I can imagine their results may vary.

Then again, I can completely understand those who have shared and their offering has been rejected. That lesson is one not soon forgotten. Why share when the community puts it's hands over it's ears? I don't blame them for keeping secrets. Maybe you're one of them. It's sad when we disenfranchise those guys and lose their future contributions...

the people i learned from i talk to on a regular basis, Miko, Kesi, Jr, Chuck, Bigtoe (he's not around anymore) and Mike K. At a certain point I stopped learning from them and we started learning together.

It's funny how most of the people that had something to share no longer post. I wonder why that is...it's not because they have stopped innovating.

^Truth and it Hurts! Miko still post a lot. He has posted a lot of valuable info for both forums.

Cam threads are always touchy anyway. Going back to the BC vs JWT threads. I'll probably get the 20v/N1 cam to make more low/mid range power for when I go VE. I don't undestand why people think/want to know if they will make more top end power with these cams over the OEM N1's when it has the same high lobe profile lol.

I don't get that either, but these cams should make a nice increase in the midrange, which should make the n1 lobe fell like its a smoother transition????

Whatever the case may be i still would like to see a dyno between a n1 cam dyno and the new franklins, just to see the mid range improvement.

^Without out a good header, those numbers would be moot. The gains from doing back to back dyno runs on a SSAC header with N1's vs 20v/N1's would be different from N1's vs 20v/N1's on a ASP header. Lets not get into tuning being involved in the testing, then we would be opening another pandora box.

Some people are agruing and some people are discussing in this thread. You just have to let the good in with the bad. That's part of life. Some people bend, and some people break. I guess the question for me is should I buy these cams, or do you guys think that these companies will make a better N/A VVL cam than the 20v/N1 for a SR20VE with a stock bottom end and stock head work?

^I ask because of this thread. Page #2 is very interesting. Then post #36 comes up. Hmmmmm.

Reese, if I were you, I would do what ever it took to get cam specs for what I wanted (research, ask friends, come up with them on my own), and then just get a custom cam made. Hell, maybe even go to Franklin first and you might get lucky, and they'll say "Hey, we already make that exact cam."

Cams are easy to come by if you have the $$$.

I reckon this cam would be hard to beat on a street car with an unopened bolt on VE. Would be a nice broad powerband that doesn't require to be revv'd to 9.5k to get power
But why don't you talk to Adrian at franklins? See what he reckons......

^Thanks for a positive reply. I plan on leaving the bottom end and head work stock on my VE when it comes in. I just want s/r's for a piece of mind and cams. It will be in my daily driver, so no 12.5 compression or nothing crazy.

Fully bolted with the best cam I can get my hands on is what I want. I have every bolt-on for the VE including a ASP header pending to get here except for cams. I'll send some more PM's and get with franklin on this. I believe I heard JUN mention something about kelford making a cam as well? I'm not sure how it compares to the 20v/N1 cam, but I will do some more digging to see if the guys in the bushes will talk to me off the record.

^Cool. Money won't be a problem. I have 1K to play with on cams when I get ready to buy them or get a custom grind. The rest will go towards s/r's.
