So whats the consensus here? Should I just gp buy some 12.5:1 cp VE pistons.

Here they are
CP Pistons 86.0mm Nissan SR20VE 12.5:1 SR20 P11 Primera:eBay Motors (item 170279130120 end time Jul-11-09 23:00:47 PDT)

Or should I get a bigger bore?

thanks

just get a set of sr16 pistons. notch the skirt to clear the oil squirters with a 2.0 and shave 1mm off the top. after machining the tops of the pistons i think they come out to around 12.0.1. with a tune it will be good on pump gas.

although you will probably only gain about 3% just raising the comp. if your going through all the trouble and taking it apart, bore it to 90 and run the cp pistons. and im pretty sure there are a few guys pretty confident that you can run 90mm w/o sleeves... just a thought. search it a little.

To be shaving pistons and what not... if you have the money just get the CP and if you have yet more money and another car for daily driving then go ahead with 90mm bore, dunno about not sleeving with Dartons for that.

Or else just get some N1 Pistons, Greg sells them and give you a little less CR than normal SR16VE ones

you can buy a set of sr16ve pistons for 100 dollars and having them shaved 1mm is really not difficult at all. and its really really not expensive at all.
