SR20de 9.5:1 CR with VVL head, What CR?
What CR will a SR20de lower half (9.5:1 CR) yield with a SR20ve head?

Thanks

that motor is actually a 10:1 and not a 9.5:1 ........

The head will bump your compression up a little more and like THOR said it will be a 10:1.

If the SR20DE motor has 10 to 1 pistons in it, when you put on a SR20VE head the compression will be 11.3 to 1.

The problem here is the flat top 10 to 1 compression piston does not have valve releifs and the valves will hit the pistons sooner or later and more so if you go to bigger than stock SR20VE cams

Hey miko
what would de 9:1 pistons yeild with a 16ve head? The pistons I have are weisco det 87 pistons. Do I need to have valve reliefs cut in the pistons?

X2, I had a 10:1 block, the valves hit the pistons when I locked in the high lobes. It wasn't even close to clearing.

VE head on a 9:5:1 block would yeils somewhere a 10:3 ratio.

And that is why I'm doing no less than a full swap.
