Thread: oil filter questions

The oem filters are trash, go with the Puralator filters,especially the pureone

All the oil filters i use for my DD cars are "Technicians Choice" filters. On the box in small print on the back, it says it's made by purolator. My cost on the filter is $1.

Your joking right? I'll take the oem filter over those 2 choices anyday.

No I'm not, Nissan does not make these filters anymore. there has been afew threads over in the g20.net forums and also this one.

Just because it says nissan does not mean its the best.

^^ yeah I saw a thread somewhere that showed a new oem filter cut up and it looked like a FRAM!!

The pureOne filters, Mobil/K&N, and bosch are all really good filters. Just from what I have seen personally, I prefer the Mobil/K&N (Champion Labs) filters. They perform really well, not just on paper either. Can't beat the price of the PureOne though.

I use GUD filters. And on the VE I use the shorty.

I agree that with regular (5000km) oil and filter changes there should really be no need for anything else.

i'm using the royal purple oil filter that is also made by champion labs. (unfortunately only sold at pepboys but fortunately i work there). is a 100% synthetic version of the mobil1/k&n filters (synthetic blends).

Anybody got part numbers for the Purolator oil filters???
