Thread: sump baffle

anybody ever see one of these before??

baffle in the sump of a n1 motor i have here, neither of the sr16ve motors i tore down had it

yep a 20ve i pulled down had one. I thought most had them

All DEs have them.

my ve has one, an from the pic (hard to tell cause of angle) it looks like that motor had a smashed pan.. the pickup tube looks like its smashed down inside.. altho the pickup tube i got from greg v was much longer then the one that came with my motor, sits further back and deeper in the pan.. wish i woulda got a pick before i bolted my pan on but the pickup tube i have now the lip of it sits outside the hole on the baffel, an sticks out almost 2 inchs from the baffel..

I thought all SR's had them, all Roller Rockers definately have.

no smashed pan here, so im guessing this isnt a difference on a n1 engine but the 2 sr16ves i have they were not put back in after being removed

u got any more pics of how that pickup tube is sittin in there.. it just doesnt look right..
