Of course it's possible, the BTCC DE's were over 300@crank. And there is Vauxhall C20XE engines on bike carbs making 280@crank over here.

You've just got to know what your doing, buying off the shelf parts to a list that is thrown around a site avery other day probably isn't your answer.

What you need to make 245WHP on a 2.0 VE is balls. You should probably up the compression a bit, custom intake and exhaust manifolds, head work, stand alone, and an 11,000 RPM redline.

^Never! The lowport head whips the highport head. Benchflow proven. VE head > other sr20 heads.

No. The DE highport head flows less than the lowport head stock for stock. With modifications you'll never outdo a lowport with the same mods. Getting to VE levels is a no-go.
