Thread: DE throttle body instead of VE TB??

A few baseline questions:

When you did the swap, did you swap in a US water temp sensor? The one that the ECU reads?

Have you double checked that your bin is programmed for the MAF that you are running?

Are you throwing any codes?

What bin are you running?

I did the swap a few weeks ago, yes I changed the water temp sensor. I used a few different bins all with the same result. No codes.

My current bin is calums ve, n60 maf bin file, but like i said i tried multiple bins.

I have this same issue on my vvl ... U have to adjust the idle at the throttle body with engine fully warm and it should go away ... Took me months to figure it out but I fixed it

Ok now that sounds good and all, but how come when I tried a DE throttle body(doesn't have cold idle valve adjustment) it didn't change?? ANd there are a few guys on this thread that have used a de throttle body and have no issues?? I do plan to switch back the trhottle bodies though, so I guess its worth a shot......
