I'll tell you why. It's because these Nissan's aren't made of Legos, they're more like the bastardization Mega Bloks. You get the point.

I will be attempting a different method next week.

The primary flange that bolts to the head is a little too big as it barely clears the upper radiator hose outlet. I will be grinding down the flange, and slightly twist and shift the header in a clockwise rotation; hopefully, giving just enough clearance.

If it works, you will not have to cut the x-member.

a) Installation was fine, I dont have air-con but we dropped the crossmember to get them in
b) They foul in 2 spots - one of the primaries on the crossmember, and also the rear flange fouls the rear engine mount

- Thank you for this thread. Not sure how I over looked it, but thanks to ser007 for linking me to it. This is where that extra vibration is coming from.

Yeah I had definite vibration where it knocked on the rear engine mount, I ground some of the flange away but still hit sometimes. Fitting solid engine mounts also helped.

Didnt take any pics of that section, and no longer have the car unfortunately.

^I don't believe it hits in the back on my B13, but it does up front. I need to get this taken care of as I can't stand the vibration.
