i would imagine any good machine shop could make what you need if you could supply them with a carboard or sheetmetal template for mounts etc. i wounder if you could get rid of the Jack shaft and just mount that unit on the pully side of the engine. make a bracket that would support the SC and be the adj for the alt. in theory you could clock the outlet down to the radiator and run a front mount very easy and just use some turbo cold side pipes. or even better yet move the alt to the back of the engine get rid of the PS and mount this baby right where the alt was. that is what i would do.

what about taking out the a/c compressor then dropping the alternator down to that spot and have this mounted where the original alternator locations was.

Next it will probably run into the thermostat housing. Its not impossible or anything its been done before on a DE but nobody even remembers it. There's a reason for that.

yeah I remember that thread, but the difference is that he used the A/C compressor bracket to use a regular supercharger. The supercharger I'm suggesting is a centrifugal type which a turbo but belt driven.

I think the little centri charger will work great. A nice smooth powerband, but furious when VVL hits. Should be a nice compromise between a full out NA build and a turbo build.

I think it's a cool idea. Never seen a supercharger quite like that one before. I was under the impression (not sure why) that axial flow ones were better though?
