Thread: cold start/idle issues

I just wrapped up my VE swap, and its running great except for one thing. The car will not run on its own on a cold start. I've got a calum basic with the VE + DE MAF program. It is obviously running rich, as you can smell the fuel, and it'll miss slightly under 2k even if you give it throttle. After holding it around 1500 and letting it run for a minute or so, it'll manage to run on its own, but idles poorly, hunting around and stumbling until it finally warms up all the way. I've never seen it idle up over 1100 RPM, and it idles down around 700 when cold. I got it into timing mode and set the idle to 1k, which it holds fine when its warmed up.

I'm thinking that the ECU is dependent on the VE TB for cold start, which is gone (running the lowport TB). Should I contact calum for a new program (is there even one available?) I'd like to fix this ASAP, as this is my DD and I don't like having to mess with the car in the mornings to get it running so I can go to work.
