VVL flywheel
wasn't exactly sure where to post this. anyway i need to put a flywheel in my car, long story, and i have one from a VE engine but will it work in my DE. i've read where the crank is balanced differently and didn't know if there were any differences in the flywheel. have a DE one but don't want to have to wait to get it resurfaced. trying to have my car running by this weekend. thanks

The 16VE right? I have one in my SE-R. Its ~4lbs lighter than the stocker iirc.

thanks. i'll get another lightweight one later on. apparently the jgy one doesn't like it when your motor hydrolocks on startup due to injector leakby. it was a quick $250 down the drain. broke the ring gear between the webbing. gonna have to hang the flywheel on the wall in the garage as a reminder.

uhmm if its the stock one that came off the sr20ve its prolly the autotragic flex plate which u cant use.. well unless u have an auto... but if its just one that was bolted to a sr20ve that came from a de or something then ya it'll work

20VE never came with a flywheel. If there is a flywheel attached to it, most probably going to be a DE or a 16VE one.

the engine was in a 92 sentra at a junkyard so i don't know what the other person put in it. kiwi-japie, i guess your saying that 20ve's were all autos? thanks for the replies guys.
